Authentic, pure, simple, NUDO

A project born from a casual friendship between a Maremma farmer and a Swiss oenologist.

All this starts from a vineyard of about two hectares cultivated according to the Organic method, built years ago with the aim of producing organic grapes.

First, the curiosity to make wine in a small quantity for their own consumption and for parties with friends, many of whom are guests of the winery and the guest house. They in some way have participated enthusiastically in the development of this project.

Then in 2012, the first “serious” production of 3000 bottles.

Thanks to the collaboration of all we have increased production today while maintaining the same philosophy of work and sharing.

NUDO Vino biologico

NUDO Rosso DOC Maremma Toscana

  • Maremma Toscana Red Denominazione di Origine Controllata
  • Grapes: Sangiovese and Syrah
  • Ageing in steel tanks and a small part in barriques
  • yeast: autochthonous
  • Alc. content: 14%vol
  • Organic grown Sangiovese and Syrah grapes vinified with low sulphite content, fermented for 3 weeks, aged for at least 8 months in steel tank and a small quantity in wooden barrels. Hand harvested, selected directly in the vineyard. Sulphites are used in minimum dose, total so2 in the finished wine aprox.35mg/ltr, bottled in June, yield per hectar: 45hl

NUDO Vermentino

NUDO Vermentino DOC Maremma Toscana

  • Grapes: Vermentino
  • Ageing in steel tanks
  • yeast: autochthonous
  • Alc. content: 13,5%vol
  • Vermentino gives his best under the Maremman sun, close to the sea. Dry, fruity and straight wine from organic Vermentino grapes, hand harvested, cold fermentation and aged on the lees for at least 3 months. Vinification in stainless steel, fermented for 4 weeks at 16 degrees. Bottled in March/April

OLTREMODO

OLTREMODO Rosso DOC Maremma Toscana

  • Maremma Toscana Red Denominazione di Origine Controllata
  • Grapes: 100% Sangiovese
  • Ageing in steel tanks and a small part in barriques
  • yeast: autochthonous
  • Alc. content: 14%vol
  • 100% Sangiovese, fermented, vinified and aged for 6 months on the skins. spontaneous fermentation, unfiltered, low sulphite content, yield per hectar: 40hl. Hand harvested and selected directly in the vineyard. A pure Sangiovese with an independent soul.

IVO

IVO IGT Rosso Costa Toscana

  • Costa Toscana Red Indicazione Geografica Tipica
  • Grapes: Syrah blended with 5% of Sangiovese
  • Ageing in barriques for 14 months
  • yeast: autochthonous
  • Alc. content: 14,5%vol
  • Hand harvested, selected directly in the vineyard. Vinification in stainless steel, fermented for 25 days, pumping over twice a day, racking after three months on the lees, racking once a month, aging in barriques for 14 months, yield per hectar: 38hl
